 Service Team Leader, Salary:£30,000 - £32,000 plus bonus and benefits

Our client based in Haddenham is seeking a Team Leader for their distribution and manufacturing company.

This is a vital role in the business, and you will be overseeing the daily processes of the service desk. They are seeking a friendly, outgoing professional who may or may not have previous experience of working with manufacturing, processing and production machinery to boost their overall service department.

Maintaining a high level of customer engagement and satisfaction is critical to your success in this role, so previous service experience is a must. You will have two Service Coordinators who will answer to you, so you will have excellent supervisory and training skills.

As Service Team Leader you will:

  • Perform well under pressure and be able to cope with stressful situations;
  • Have a systematic and organised approach to your work and be able to deal with small daily matters as well as larger aims and setting goals;
  • You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with all types of people at all levels in a diplomatic way, with a good understanding of customer requirements;
  • Strong leaderships skills and effective time management, prioritising and delegation are essential.
  • You must be able to lead, coach, inspire, support and motivate your team.

The ideal Service Team Leader will have:

  • GCSEs or equivalent required;
  • Professional supervisory qualifications are desirable for this job;
  • Experience in the service industry, this can be transferable skills from different sectors and industries;
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills;
  • Proven track record in customer service and employee supervision;
  • Ideally an engineering background or an appreciation of electrical and mechanical;
  • Having a passion for people and processes.

Salary £30K - £32K plus bonus and benefits eligibility.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.30pm (1 hour lunch) and Friday 8.30am to 5pm (45 minutes lunch). Flexible options available at discretion.   • As the Service Team Leader, you will play a vital role in the success and growth of the service desk.
  • There is a lot of responsibility which means pressure to perform well every day. As Service Team Leader your work is also critical to the success of the whole service department, so it can be stressful.
  • You must be able to see the big picture as well as the finer details, as your work is across the spectrum. You will deal in small daily matters, as well as larger aims and setting goals. A systematic organised approach to work is vital.
  • Brilliant communication and interpersonal skills, for dealing with many types of people at all levels in a direct diplomatic way, are essential. An understanding of customer requirements is also necessary.
  • Strong leadership skills, including effective time management, prioritising and delegation, are required. You must be able to lead, coach, inspire, support and motivate your team, and always seek to improve best practice.
  • Having natural creative flair and being full of ideas and energy to introduce new concepts and innovations would also be advantageous.

Qualifications and Skills:
