Job Description: We are looking for a dynamic, hardworking and customer focused person to join our clients expanding business. The role will ideally suit an experienced warehouse person who is looking to progress to the next level. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the warehouse, managing goods in and out, picking and packing and accurately logging them on our CRM System. Previous experience is not essential, but is helpful, a common sense attitude is essential, training will be provided for the right candidate. Once trained you will primarily be working on your own utilizing staffing resources as and when required. You will be a self motivator and enjoy the challenge of completing the required daily tasks. The role is varied and can involve interaction with both suppliers and customers so good customer service skills are important The normal working week is 37.5 Hours, Monday to Friday 8.00AM to 4:30PM. With a 1 Hour Lunch break. RESPONSIBILITIES The job holder is responsible for ensuring the timely execution of the following: Warehouse •Dealing with goods in, unloading goods in, sorting goods coming in, recording of goods coming in. •Checking goods. •Inspection of goods. •Organizing of stock. •Picking goods from stock and repacking. •Repacking goods in, to send out. •Raising correct paperwork for goods going out. •Arranging shipments from UK suppliers direct to customers. •Tracking goods with Shippers and Couriers. •Planning work load and available resources. •Progressing orders with suppliers and dealing with customers delivery queries. •Ordering warehouse supplies. •Ensuring Health & Safety regulations are adhered to. PLANNING AND ORGANIZING •Following training you will be expected to be able to organize and plan the warehouse operations. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Computer literate. Good understanding of both written and spoken English Good understanding of basic mathematics •◦Common sense and initiative ◦Ability lift boxes up to 25Kilos ◦Excellent Written and Verbal Communications ◦Strong Organizational Skills ◦Ability to work on own and part of a team ◦Good concentration skills ◦A strong work ethic ◦Forklift truck experience would be useful but not essential ◦An eye for detail ◦Ability to work accurately] ◦Understanding of different customer’s requirements. ◦Ability to use measuring equipment (Vernier & Micrometer) would be useful but not essential ◦Customer focused. Have a professional approach in dealing with customers and suppliers
